GUIDED TOURS AT THE HOUSE OF NOBILITY

The House of Nobility and its coats of arms reflect Finland’s history – from its time as part of the Swedish Kingdom, through its period as a Grand Duchy of the Russian Empire, and finally as an independent republic.

The House of Nobility was designed by the architect T. P. Chiewitz and completed in 1862. Centrally located in Helsinki, the building is still owned by the Finnish Nobility. The House of Nobility is a culturally and historically significant and well-preserved building, offering a unique historical setting. It is also a popular venue for concerts, celebrations and various events.

A guided tour of the House of Nobility takes approximately 45 minutes. During the tour, visitors will see the Committee Room and the Knights’ Assembly Hall, and, if possible, also the Boardroom and the Landmarshal’s Room. The tour also introduces the history and present-day life of the Finnish nobility.

Regular Tours

Regular guided tours are offered in both Finnish and Swedish, and occasionally in English. Tickets must be purchased in advance through the House of Nobility’s online shop, where you can also find available tour dates and times. Places are limited.

Price: € 15 per person. Children under 18 are welcome free of charge when accompanied by a parent. Payment by card only.

Tours for Groups

Guided tours can also be arranged for groups by request, subject to availability. Enquiries can be made here. The maximum group size is 40 people. School groups are kindly asked to contact the Amanuensis directly. Payment via card or invoice.

Price:

  1. Weekdays:      €15 per person. For groups of 1–10 participants, the price is €150 per group.
  2. Saturdays:       €23 per person. For groups of 1–10 participants, the price is €230 per group.
  3. Sundays:          €30 per person. For groups of 1–10 participants, the price is €300 per group.

Accessible Entrance

The House of the Nobility is a historic building, and unfortunately, the ground floor is not accessible. The accessible entrance to the second floor, where the Knights’ Assembly Hall is located, is at Hallituskatu 2 B. An accessible toilet is located on the second floor.
